The Approved Site List is a project which aims to provide a list of sites that we have assessed and found to meet the criteria that we have chosen to judge sites on.

All the sites on this list will have been approved by an independent Privacy Commission assessor and will be reasonably safe to use for children aged 10 or over. At present our criteria can be found on our help center so you can see our fair system of assessment. You can also click each criteria on the website assessment page to view the report for that specific criteria.

Sites which have been approved will be regularly inspected to make sure they continue to meet our standards of safety, and will have their status removed if they fail a re-inspection. All sites which have been approved have the right to use our specially designed logo to help people identify them as safer websites.

As a word of advice for parents intending to use this list, we suggest that you use it simply as a reference and not to use it as your only method of determining whether a site is safe for your child due to it not necessarily being inclusive.
