Proxy List Project Guide

Who created PCProxy?
The Privacy Commission Proxy List was created by Harlen Compton, our network administrator and website developer. He has been working on the module for around 4 years for our old website and decided to implement it in our new site for our visitors.

What is the Proxy List for?
The PCProxy module is to keep you hidden on the Internet. Anonymity is crucial while browsing the web as your information and data can be traced back to you to allow someone to view your location and other vital data so a proxy acts as a false identity by giving different information.

How do I use the IP addresses?
Using the IP addresses can be done in several ways. We have an article called 'How to be anonymous on the Internet' which explains in more detail what a proxy is, how to configure your Internet browser for the use of a proxy and how to test the proxy to see if it is working.

How do I add IP addresses?
Adding an IP address is simple!

  • Firstly, you will need to register to the website (please read our Login and Registrationguide for more information on registering)[This feature is currently available for admins only until further notice].
  • Secondly, go to the Proxy List page and scroll down to the link which says Upload a proxy batch where you will see an interface in which to enter the proxies. Here you should select the proxy type and follow the instructions.
  • Finally, you can find many free proxy list in a Google search, or you can visit our article called 'Tools: Proxy lists and server' which includes links to free online lists, checkers and environment checkers.
